Choosing the right buffet display counter can transform any food service area. Holding hot or cold foods ready to serve and well presented, guests can see what's on offer and either help themselves or enjoy a more traditional counter service.

Food displays are designed for numerous positions. Central island units are extremely popular, allowing guests to self serve with full 360° access to dishes. Buffet serving counters are best suited to canteen style settings where guests remain on one side, clearly able to see the dishes on offer whilst a server distributes the food from the opposite side. Tray rails are often a common feature with this style of counter, providing a convenient place to rest fully laden trays, however models can be purchased without.

The majority of buffet displays are designed to hold Gastronorm (GN) pans of varying sizes and in a range of configurations. This not only allows convenient and timely laying out of the display but also allows dishes that are running low to be easily and quickly replenished and restocked. If GN layouts don't suit your style of service, displays are also available with enclosed shelves or as a plain counter top on which chafing dishes can be placed.

Other than the layout of a buffet counter there is also the option for heated or ambient set-ups. Hot buffet counters are perfect for maintaining safe serving temperatures of cooked foods whilst on display. Ambient food displays and buffet bars are perfect for fresh foods and salads.
