Dualit

When the German-born, England-dwelling Max Gort-Barten returned from the second World War, he bought a small factory in Camberwell with the drive and self-certainty that he would successfully employ his engineering and creative skills to manufacture products. After several bright ideas (including a Dual-Light electric fire; hence the name), a patented toaster raised some attention and Max decided to focus on the commercial market. Inventing the toaster as we know it, as well as innovating into several other areas of small to industrial scale appliances, Dualit has gone from strength to strength ever since.
